Chinese Clubs Interested in Javier Mascherano
This is not the first time that Chinese football has shown interest in Javier Mascherano. In April of this year, before the end of the previous season, the player rejected a mega proposal from the emerging Chinese league and used that opportunity to extend his contract with Barcelona, something that had already been agreed upon for several months. He extended his contract for three more seasons.
Changing Circumstances for Mascherano
Although Barcelona fans still consider Javier Mascherano as part of the starting lineup, the reality is that things seem to be changing this season. Rotations, injuries, and the arrival of left-footed Frenchman Samuel Umtiti are affecting Mascherano's participation. While at this point in the previous season he had accumulated almost 750 minutes in all competitions, this season the numbers are lower, with only 559 minutes, including La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Champions League.
Unbelievable Financial Offers
Chinese clubs move enormous amounts of money, and if they once offered 50 million and received a "no" as a response, the current offer they are considering could even surpass that.
