Joel Raffo, president of Sporting Cristal, expressed that the Peruvian club is satisfied with the work being done by the Brazilian coach, Tiago Nunes, despite their recent defeat against Cienciano, a result that hampers their intentions of winning the Clausura.
In statements to RPP, the president of the Celeste team acknowledged that they want the team to continue under Nunes' command next year. He also pointed out that, at the end of the season, they will evaluate Cristal's performance throughout the year.
"When the season ends, we can share the evaluation of the whole year. There are errors we need to correct. Our intention is for Tiago Nunes' project to continue," Raffo said.
ABOUT THE REFEREEING AGAINST CIENCIANO
Raffo also stated that they were not happy with the refereeing, specifically the second goal that was disallowed for Cristal in the match against "Papá": "I have a meeting with the Referee Committee about Cristal's second goal in Cusco. For our analysis, it was not offside," he said.
