Sport Boys: lawyer asserts they will go to the TAS if they don't find a solution after losing four points in the Liga 1 Betsson [VIDEO]

Jaime Talledo referred to the complicated situation that the rosado team is going through after the sanction imposed by the FPF License Commission.

The news came as a cold shower: the FPF License Commission deducted four points from Sport Boys in the accumulated table of the Liga 1 Betsson, putting their stay in the First Division at risk. However, Jaime Talledo, lawyer of the Chalaco team, is confident in having the right to reverse the sanction, whether appealing or reaching the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS).

"We are surprised but it is also a matter that should not surprise us too much due to the disorder of the License Commission last year and the Court as well. Now, with what has come out, it is up to the club to appeal this resolution. For now, it does not apply until there is a firm resolution. We will do it within the corresponding deadline. Our legal grounds are solid to reverse this situation," said Talledo in an interview with Ovación.

The lawyer explained the steps the Rosada institution will take, although he complained about how everything is being handled: "We have seven days to appeal, but the matches are played within that timeframe. Sanctions can be appealed, but the matches are played. Unfortunately, it is like this because of the disorder. A matter is resolved one year and one month later. It is the result of a review conducted in September 2022. Have all clubs been reviewed in the same way?"

Finally, Talledo did not hesitate to affirm that, if necessary, Boys will go to TAS. "The administration will defend the interests of the club wherever they have to defend them."

THE CASE

Through resolution No. 125-CL-FPF-2023, the sports entity determined that the Rosada team committed two infractions: the first for an eighth violation of article 76.1 of the Licensing Regulations, and the second for a ninth violation of article 73.2 of the Licensing Regulations.

Sport Boys is left with 34 points, one more than Unión Comercio and two more than Deportivo Municipal. In the last round, they will host Cienciano and need to win to not depend on what happens in the offices.
