We are two matchdays away from the end of the Clausura Tournament of Liga 1 2023, and several teams are in contention for the title, including Alianza Lima, Universitario, Sporting Cristal, and Melgar. In that line, there is a fifth team that can win the second championship of the season, and it is ADT, as the Tarma team is very close to the top.

The leader of the Clausura is Universitario with 35 points, and ADT has 32 points, so if they defeat Alianza Lima this afternoon, they will reach the top position. However, ADT does not depend on itself to be the champion of the tournament, it must wait for a series of results that we will comment here.
What results does ADT need to be the champion of the Clausura Tournament?
The first and basic thing is to defeat Alianza Lima in La Victoria in matchday 18 and wait for both Universitario and Sporting Cristal to lose their matches against Cusco FC and Cienciano, respectively. In this way, ADT will equalize with 'U' and 'Dominó' at the top with 35 points, taking into account that the team from Arequipa rests this matchday.
If what was mentioned happens, Alianza Lima and Cristal will have practically left the competition's definition, so ADT will have a somewhat clearer path. That is, in matchday number 19, the Tarma team must defeat Carlos Mannucci at home and wait for Universitario and Melgar to tie or lose their matches.
This way, ADT would finish with 38 points compared to the 35 or 36 of Universitario and Melgar, proclaiming themselves as champions of the Clausura Tournament and playing a semifinal against the second place in the accumulated table, currently belonging to Universitario, to play the final of Liga 1 against Alianza Lima.
