Shortly before the Clausura Tournament comes to an end, the standings become intense among the bottom teams of the table, who are fighting to avoid relegation to the Second Division.

All Peruvian teams fight to stay in the First Division of the national football. But when it comes to competition, there are always clubs that will unfortunately have to be relegated. So far, two teams will say goodbye: Deportivo Municipal and Academia Cantolao.

In the statutes of the Peruvian Football Federation, it is announced that for the current season, three teams will lose the top category, and there is a dispute among the clubs at the bottom of the table, which will come out with their best artillery in the last two matches.

Of the confirmed teams in the 2024 Liga 2, one more will be relegated and the definition is thrilling because anything could happen between Sport Boys, Binacional and Unión Comercio, who are fighting to get out of the most dangerous zone of the league.

Sport Boys currently has 38 points, Binacional is with 35, while Unión Comercio has 33 points. (Muni with 28 and the 'Delfín' with 23). According to the outlook, the 'rosado' team will have a tough match in the next fixture; the 'Poderoso de San Martín' would have the most difficult schedule with two rounds left in the tournament. Despite that, the team from the South cannot blink in the upcoming matches that lie ahead.

What matches are left for Sport Boys, Binacional, and Unión Comercio?

The team from Callao will travel outside the capital to face Huancayo, and to finish, they will host Cienciano. Both opponents have a better level, as they take advantage of playing at high-altitude terrains, making it easier for them in Lima on many occasions.

Binacional will face Carlos Mannucci as visitors, and it will be their last game since they will rest in round 19.; while Unión Comercio will host Deportivo Garcilaso, and then they will face Atlético Grau in Sullana. Both opponents are higher in the standings, and it is expected that they will give a tough fight to the two teams that are fighting to avoid relegation.

What results do they need to avoid going to the Second Division?

All teams need to win all three points and hope for some setbacks from others. Sport Boys saved themselves in their last match, but they must not neglect their results. Binacional must win against Carlos Mannucci, as it will be their last chance in the Liga 1, and hope that Comercio loses their next two matches. Results that will not be easy, as everyone expects the opposite from each opponent. It's getting heated!
