The Sport Boys club used its social media to announce that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled in their favor after the complaints made by Ayacucho FC and Universidad San Martin. "The decision of the highest court in sports has been favorable to the institution, as it has established the real effects of the exceptional sports regime regarding sanctions and their proper implementation, thus achieving a correct application of the Licensing Regulations," reads the Sport Boys statement.
Meanwhile, Joao Castillo, Sport Boys' lawyer, commented on the TAS's favorable ruling and indicated that Ayacucho and San Martin's claims have been dismissed.
"Today we already have a resolution indicating that the Exceptional Sports Regime suspends the club's imposed sanctions, thus the claims of these clubs have been dismissed," said Castillo to Ovación.
