"Did you lose at Matute?", Cavassa asked Carlos Galván. "Never", the "Negro" replied. All this referring to the 2009 season, the year in which Universitario won all the Peruvian football classics, including the two in the Descentralizado Championship definition.
"Wait. I'm going to answer this sir", Waldir told Peter Arévalo. "Did 'U' win a championship at Matute? No. Matute is Alianza's stadium. Do you have a stadium? Because Monumental belongs to Gremco. It's not yours. Playing as the home team is very different. Your stadium is Lolo Fernández", the former blanquiazul striker concluded on the subject.

How Was the 2009 Final between Universitario and Alianza Lima?
The final of the Peruvian championship in 2009 had the "compadres" disputing the Descentralizado title. The first leg took place at Matute on December 8th, and with a great goal from Piero Alva, the "cremas" won the away match.
The second leg would be played on the 13th of the same month, and once again, Universitario came out on top with a minimum difference, this time Nolberto Solano scored from a penalty kick. And with this result, the team from Ate added their 25th star in Peruvian football.
