Sporting Cristal would start negotiations with Brenner

In Sporting Cristal, they know that one of the biggest debts this year has been the goal; however, the Rimense club currently has five forwards in its squad: Brenner Marlos, Adrián Ugarriza, Irven Ávila, Diego Otoya, and Percy Liza. Who deserves to stay in La Florida?

Brenner has undoubtedly been the most productive attacker of the year, having scored 14 goals so far this season. However, the 29-year-old player has not been the same since recovering from his injury and has not been able to be decisive in the team's recent matches.

On the other hand, Irven Ávila is a player who had the trust of Tiago Nunes during the first half of the year; however, the historic scorer suffered a dislocated elbow and has not been able to show his best level in the Clausura 2023 Tournament.

Adrián Ugarriza, meanwhile, is undoubtedly one of the current team members who has received the most criticism from fans. Resisted from the beginning, the former Alianza Lima and Universitario player spent much of the season on the bench and unfortunately has not been able to score with the celeste shirt.

Finally, there are Percy Liza -who has not had many opportunities since returning from loan- and young Diego Otoya, one of the management's bets for the future. Will they remain in the squad next year?

The sports manager Guido Bravo recently confirmed in an interview with RPP that the club is interested in renewing Brenner's contract, but also made it clear that negotiations with the Brazilian striker have not yet begun.
