For the championship! In a spectacular performance, Alianza Lima defeated Striker 21 11-1 and sealed their qualification to the final of the Clausura Tournament of the Down Futsal League, where they will face the University San Martín in the title match next Saturday.
The blanquiazules secured their fifth victory in the tournament and comfortably advanced to the semifinals. It is worth mentioning that forward Renzo Huapaya shone and scored six goals, while captain Edgard Gómez scored four. Julio Cavalier closed the scoring.
In the squad of Alianza Lima played Víctor Cano, Juan Diego Vega, Percy Silva, Juan José Sánchez, Carlos León, Luis André Campos, Gino Atencio, Reny Alemán, and Luis Andrés Bernal.
With the title at stake, the team will face the University San Martín on Saturday, September 30, who defeated Empate 5-0 in the other semifinal. The match will be played at the Futsal Coliseum of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF).
The blanquiazules already faced San Martín in the group stage, a match that ended 5-3 in favor of Alianza Lima. The team, which achieved the runner-up position in the Apertura Tournament, is looking to win the Clausura championship to secure their qualification to the Inclusive Latin American Futsal Cup, which will take place in Salto, Uruguay, from November 3 to 5.
