From his Instagram account, Alexi Gómez issued a statement where he said, "I thank everyone who was concerned about me and kept an eye on me. Unfortunately, I was not properly notified at my address where I have been living in the city of Cusco, neither to myself nor to my lawyer about the process. Thank God the facts have been clarified and I am at my home," wrote the former player of Universitario and Alianza Lima.
Hours later, the footballer decided to publish another story with a controversial message. "When you are better, the devil comes for you and tries to attack you. Stay strong", he wrote.

According to the statement from DIVBUS DIGIMIN (Division of People Search of the General Intelligence Directorate) and with prior coordination with DEPINCRI (Criminal Investigation Directorate), this Monday around 10 in the morning he was intervened for having a "warrant for Crimes Against Life, Body, and Health - Assaults against Women - Physical Violence," indicates the letter.
The footballer was arrested during training with his club, Deportivo Garcilaso, which was working after earning three points (2-1) against Cusco FC in the 13th round of the Clausura Tournament.
