Carlos Kenji Aparicio, former assistant to Guillermo Salas, decided to sue Alianza Lima before the 3rd Specialized Permanent Labor Court for contract misrepresentation, compensation for unfair dismissal, and others", according to file No. 17241 of the Judicial Power. Let's remember that his departure from La Victoria, like that of the Peruvian coach, was sudden.

Aparicio was dismissed by the blanquiazul club in July 2023 along with 'Chicho' Salas and other members of the coaching staff, after poor results in the 2023 Clausura Tournament. He was Salas' right-hand man in achieving the 2022 bicampeonato.

Now, it seems that this decision by the Alianza board is not bringing good consequences for the institution, as in addition to Carlos Aparicio, 'Chicho' Salas himself filed a complaint against Alianza a few weeks ago for "contract misrepresentation, failure to pay social benefits, unfair dismissal, and moral damage".

When were Aparicio and Guillermo Salas dismissed from Alianza?

After the goalless draw against Universitario at Matute on matchday 5 of the 2023 Clausura, Salas' coaching staff was separated from their positions on July 24th. In their place, Colombian Nixon Perea took over on an interim basis, until Mauricio Larriera was finally announced as the new coach of Alianza Lima on August 2nd.

What numbers did Aparicio and Salas leave at the helm of Alianza Lima?

The coach and assistant coach took the reins of Alianza Lima when the team was not at its best back in September 2022. But together they managed to turn things around and win the last Liga 1 title as well as the 2022 Clausura and 2023 Apertura tournaments. And in total, they led the blanquiazules in 39 matches, with 26 wins, 3 draws, and 10 losses.
