Antonio Meza Cuadra, sports manager of the pink team, gave details of the work at the Miguel Grau stadium. Here are all the details.

Sport Boys had to leave their home, the Miguel Grau stadium, on May 22, 2022. Since that date (when they lost 4-1 to Carlos A. Mannucci), the pink venue closed its doors to professional football to undergo remodeling, which, as Antonio Meza Cuadra - sports manager of the port team - announced, is in the final stage. In that context, it is almost certain that they will host Sporting Cristal in the emblematic scenario of the Constitutional Province of Callao.

"The best news is that starting from the next match, we will be able to play at the Grau and we expect massive support from the Sport Boys fans. We believe it will be a celebration on this re-entry," said the pink executive in an interview with Radio Ovación.

Antonio Meza Cuadra is aware that there are still some details missing for the venue to host a professional match for Sport Boys again, but he is optimistic that the final work will be completed within the established time to bring joy to the port fans.

"We are working on the field issue because, at one point, it was in good shape and passed an initial inspection by the FPF. Then, there was the issue of the musical event last week and now it is being treated to be in good condition for the match against (Sporting) Cristal," he added.

On the other hand, the sports manager of Sport Boys confessed that the objective is to avoid relegation, a goal they are getting closer to, although they do not underestimate it because the teams at the bottom of the cumulative standings have shown growth in their game.

"The teams at the bottom will fight until the end. From now until the end of the tournament, every match will be a final. In the last match, the result was a bit misleading because it was 3-0, but Municipal also had their chances. However, it allows us to be more relaxed. The table is very tight," he concluded.
