This first IMAX theater at Cinépolis Larcomar showcases Peru's forefront position in the film industry, offering the latest in this part of the region with the aim of providing the best experience for Peruvian cinephiles.
"After the premiere of 'Oppenheimer,' we added the screening of 'Blue Beetle,' a movie we are currently projecting. Soon, we will be showing films such as 'Gran Turismo,' which shows a player with unique skills who becomes a great race car driver, and 'La Monja' for those who enjoy thrillers, 'Wonka' among others. All of them were filmed in IMAX, guaranteeing a very unique experience", Shierlay Requelme concluded.
The IMAX theater at Larcomar has 295 seats, 260 traditional and 31 VIP. It has a slightly curved screen, and the movies shown are filmed in IMAX format and supervised by IMAX.
The sound is known for being immersive, allowing the viewer to hear an overwhelming explosion or a whisper over their shoulder. In other words, they can perceive even the smallest sound details based on the direction where the action is happening, contributing to the feeling of being inside the movie.
The films are screened in their original language with subtitles. Cinépolis is the largest cinema exhibition company in Mexico and Latin America, ranking third in the world in terms of the number of theaters, second in the number of tickets sold, and the chain that sells the most tickets per theater in the world.
