Reimond Manco always gives statements that leave more than one person surprised, and on this occasion, he revealed a confession that will undoubtedly leave many of his followers surprised. During the broadcast of the program Cojo y Manco, he stopped being the host to be interviewed by his colleague Horacio Zimmerman.
Throughout his career, 'Rei' has been a member of various national and international teams. For many, Alianza Lima would be the club that they can associate him the most with due to his support. Despite that, within his comments during the conversation, he confessed an important detail about his time with Juan Aurich in Chiclayo.
Manco and the juicy salary he earned playing in Holland
After his debut in Alianza Lima, Manco made the big leap abroad and signed with two clubs in the Netherlands: PSV and Willem. After defending their shirts, he mentioned that during that time, he had a lot of money in his possession. "There are two stages in my life, in Holland, I received a lot of money, in soles (Peruvian currency) I was a millionaire. I would go out to eat with 20 people and invite them all. I would spend the money recklessly, it all went into material things. There's nothing left of that", he commented.
But one of the comments that drew the most attention was that he revealed that when he was in Juan Aurich, he was the highest-paid Peruvian footballer in the league. But despite receiving a large sum for his work, the money was not enough for him.
"Later on, I go to Juan Aurich and I earned very good money, I was the highest-paid player in Peruvian football, and it wasn't enough for anything. I couldn't make it to the end of the month, and that's without having any debt, simply the salary I earned I would spend recklessly. Maybe something I can take away from that is that I helped my mom and paid for my sister's education. It was an impressive thing"
According to the international portal Transfermarkt, the attacking midfielder currently has a market value of 175,000 euros.
