The Peruvian descendant wingback celebrated his team's latest victory with the national flag.

A few days before Juan Reynoso confirms the call-ups for the Peru National Team for the first matches of the Qualifiers, right-back Oliver Sonne gave a nod to the national team.

The Silkeborg IF player celebrated with the Peruvian flag the good victory of his team over Nordsjaelland, the leader of the Danish League after five matchdays.

Sonne, born in Denmark with Peruvian roots, was one of the standout performers of the match, playing the full ninety minutes and providing an assist. He is an undisputed starter.

This year, Reynoso praised the player, who could be called up: "He knows a lot about Peruvian football, more than expected, he knows about Peruvian cuisine, and he follows the National Team."

In addition, the coach added: "He is a versatile player. He plays on the right, left, in a back four, in a defensive midfield position. He crosses the ball very well, I believe that's his best skill. He has also played as an attacking midfielder at some point. He is a player we will be able to use in various positions," he stated.

It is worth mentioning that the process of nationalizing Oliver Sonne is not easy because the maternal grandmother of the Danish full-back, from whom his Peruvian ancestry comes, and his own mother (Helena Christensen) do not have a Peruvian identification document. They will have to be the first ones to obtain the necessary documentation, which cannot be done in Denmark but in Sweden. Once this issue is resolved, the Silkeborg player will have to continue his respective process to obtain Peruvian nationality.
