Concacaf and Conmebol agree to play the Interamerican Cup again.

The Interamerican Cup, the tournament that previously faced the winners of the Copa Libertadores and the Concachampions , will take a new twist by presenting an exciting quadrangular with the champions of the four most prestigious tournaments in America, according to the Argentine newspaper Olé.

The teams that will compete in this exceptional quadrangular will be the champion of the Concachampions, the Club León; the winner of the Leagues Cup 2023 (either Nashville or Lionel Messi's Inter Miami); the winner of the Copa Libertadores and the winner of the Copa Sudamericana of the current season. This competition will determine the best team on the continent, bringing together the most prominent exponents of both Conmebol and Concacaf.

Although the Interamerican Cup had previous editions in which it faced the champions of the Copa Libertadores and the Concachampions, this new stage presents a fundamental transformation. Instead of a bilateral confrontation, a quadrangular will take place, promising even more intense emotions. This exciting event is scheduled for the year 2024.

In the current context, while the Leagues Cup is approaching its conclusion in North America, the tournaments in the south continue their development. Therefore, the newly agreed cup will wait for the respective champions to be determined in both regions in order to define the exciting matches between the four participating teams in this renewed intercontinental tournament.

With this agreement between the two main football confederations of America, Concacaf and Conmebol, the Interamerican Cup is preparing to return with a fresh and exciting proposal that promises football fans a high-level competition and overflowing emotions.
