“Imposing a fine of $100,000 on Club Universitario for infringing article 15.2 of the Disciplinary Code”, which sanctions “any Member Association or club whose fans insult or offend the human dignity of another person or group of people, using any means, based on skin color, race, sex or sexual orientation, ethnicity, language, religion or origin”, reads the document from the South American entity.

Furthermore, Universitario received another fine of ten thousand dollars because its fans threw objects onto the field when a scuffle broke out in the final minutes of the match.

But that's not all. According to CONMEBOL's stipulations, Universitario must carry out three actions against racism in their next home game in an international tournament, whether it be the Copa Libertadores or the Sudamericana.
