This weekend the Clausura Tournament of the Liga 1 Betsson 2023 continues. The clubs are preparing themselves for their respective matches, such is the case of Cusco FC , who will host Alianza Lima this Sunday at the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega stadium. While it will be a challenging match for the íntimos - take note, it will mark the debut of DT Mauricio Larriera - it will also be challenging for Felipe Rodríguez , striker of the imperial team, who has made it clear the respect he has for the blanquiazul institution.
In a dialogue with Cusco media, the Uruguayan attacker expressed his appreciation for the victorian team, where he played during the 2019 season (played 41 matches, including the Liga 1, Copa Libertadores, and Copa Bicentenario, scoring a total of nine goals and providing nine assists), before moving to Israel to play for Hapoel Tel Aviv.
"Alianza Lima is a club that I have a lot of affection for, and it is reciprocal with the people as well. There is a lot of respect involved. My son was born while I was playing for Alianza, it was the first stadium he stepped foot in. Today, I am devoted to Cusco FC and of course I want to win. The respect remains the same," commented 'Felucho'.
Out of that same respect and affection, the 'charrúa' attacker confessed that he will keep his celebrations to himself. "I always wish the best for Alianza, except when they play against us, because I am the first one who wants to win. It is the only club that I wouldn't celebrate a goal against, precisely because of how they treated me and how my experience was at the club," he assured.

This Sunday, Alianza Lima and Cusco FC will face off in one of the most important matches of round 8 in the Clausura Tournament of the Liga 1 Betsson, which will take place at the Garcilaso de la Vega stadium in the imperial city.
Both teams are fighting to regain their momentum in the second championship of the season, so the three points in this match will be key to their objectives for this time of the year. In fact, out of the last 10 matches, there have been four victories for La Victoria and the same amount for Cuzco, along with two draws; in other words, the match is evenly balanced.
