"Strange beings" haunt community in Loreto

A group of citizens from the Ikitu tribe, located in Loreto, have shown themselves to be nervous and frightened by the presence of supposed creatures from another world, as they indicate. Far from being simple sightings, these have proven to be violent, to the point where a minor has already been affected by these attacks. The incident has immediately gone viral on social media. "Strange beings" haunt community in Loreto

It was the president of the indigenous town, located in the district of Alto Nanay, in the province of Maynas, Jairo Reátegui Dávila, who pointed out these dangerous encounters, which have been happening since July 11 of this year.

In this sense, one of the eerie testimonies of this event came from a resident of the area, who claimed that these "demonic" beings with humanoid appearances "do not show their faces and their bodies float. They use their arms for balance (while flying), but they walk normally. Every time we approach, they fly away with something activated on the soles of their feet. They have wheels with lights," he said.

Even other witnesses explained that a minor has been one of the latest victims of these "strange beings" and that, as a result of the terrifying encounter, she ended up with a wound in her neck. She was immediately attended to by the community's clinic, and later managed to overcome the shock of the incident.

The Navy and the police come to protect against the threat of these "beings"

In response to the call to authorities, police officers and the Peruvian Navy arrived in the district, addressing the concerns and reports of the citizens of Loreto. However, another sector of the population, through social media, has stated that this is actually the fearsome "pelacaras" or "Naqak," better known as 'Pishtakos,' a common legend in the highlands and rainforest.

Finally, while necessary investigations into the attacks that are occurring in Ikitu are ongoing, the community members themselves have not stayed idle and since Sunday have been on constant vigilance, carrying shotguns and sticks to finally put an end to this threat.
