The Superior Court of Justice surprised with a new precautionary measure that suspends the contractual ties of Alianza Lima, Melgar, Cienciano, and Binacional with GOLPERÚ.

The dispute for the broadcasting rights of League 1 has a new chapter. The Superior Court of Justice of Lima issued a new precautionary measure that specifies that the contracts of Alianza Lima, Melgar, Binacional, and Cienciano with Consorcio Fútbol Perú (GOLPERÚ - Media Networks) are suspended.

La Liga 1 can be enjoyed on a new cable operator, Claro TV.

In this way, the broadcasting rights become the domain of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) with the exception of professional teams such as Universitario de Deportes, Carlos Mannucci, Sport Boys, and Deportivo Municipal.

This is because they still have a valid contract with Consorcio Fútbol Perú, so their matches will continue to be broadcast until the nullity of the contractual relationship between both parties.

"Declare founded the Principal Precautionary Claim filed by the Peruvian National Sports Federation and therefore; the execution of any contract and/or legal act, as well as all the obligations derived from said contracts, entered into by Consorcio Fútbol Perú, or any of its members or the companies that make it up, in particular Media Networks Latin America SAC, and GOL TV Latin America SAC.", reads the definitive resolution of the Superior Court of Justice of Lima.

When does Universitario's contract with GOLPERÚ end?

Just like Sport Boys and Deportivo Municipal, the contract between Universitario and Consorcio Fútbol Perú (GOLPERÚ) expires in 2025, so they will continue to broadcast the home matches of League 1 until that year. On the other hand, Carlos Mannucci's contract with the mentioned television signal ends at the end of 2023.
