Inauguration of Arena MRV
On Sunday, July 16, the inauguration of Arena MRV, the new stadium of Atlético Mineiro in Brazil, took place. And to celebrate this new episode in the club's history, the institution prepared a tribute match to debut this new field.
"Lendas do Galo" (Legends of Galo in English) was the name given to this friendly match that brought together the former glories of Atlético Mineiro, where Carlos Galván was invited. Let's remember that the former captain of Universitario played for Mineiro between 1998 and 2000, with whom he won two Campeonatos Mineiro.
In the same vein, another guest of honor was Ronaldinho, the greatest figure of Atlético Mineiro in the 2013 season when the club won its first Copa Libertadores.
In this way, both characters, who have already retired from professional football, met on the field for this exhibition match. "Very excited and grateful to have been part of 'Legends of Galo' in the inauguration of the new Arena MRV stadium of Atlético Mineiro," wrote 'Negro' Galván on his social media.

Carlos Galván hung up his boots at the end of the 2013 season with the Universidad César Vallejo in Trujillo. But his best campaign in Peru was when he became champion in 2009 with Universitario.
