Sporting Cristal suffered more than necessary, but managed to make themselves strong at home and came back to win 3-2 against Mannuci, in a match that ended up being controversial due to some VAR decisions, according to several characters from the 'Tricolor' team, such as Matías Succar.

The forward decided to speak out after the match and exploded against the video assistant referee, pointing out that there were many errors that ended up being decisive in the score and tarnishing the great level shown at the Alberto Gallardo Stadium.
"I found it strange that Núñez's foul on Ignacio wasn't called, when we had the VAR talk, they explained to us that, if at the end of the match there is a doubtful play, it will be reviewed, but the referee didn't do it and the match ended", he told Radio Ovación.
"I'm not going to say that we were robbed, but there were determining mistakes in the result. We did everything to win, we even took the lead, but there were situations that fill you with helplessness", he added.
With that, it is clear that more and more Mannucci players have been very uncomfortable with the arbitrary decisions, despite already having the VAR implementation, which they consider has not been well used in the Liga 1 so far.
Mario Viera criticized VAR for the defeat
"Before the end of the match, you have to go and see, they have to call you to review if it was a penalty or not in the last play. If we continue like this, not using it properly, we will always be the ones harmed, the so-called smaller teams," commented the coach.
