Corinthians will host Universitario in Brazil this Tuesday, July 11th, and international media confirms the first setback for 'Timão'.

Good news arrives for Universitario de Deportes ahead of the match against Corinthians for a spot in the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, as the rival country's media confirmed the sensitive absence of a 27-year-old attacking midfielder, a key player for this week's match.

It is the Paraguayan Matías Rojas, who according to ABC de Paraguay, has not yet received the corresponding documents to register as a new player for Corinthians in the Brazilian Football Confederation's Daily Information Bulletin (CBF), so he still cannot play an official match with his new team.

The midfielder valued by the international market at more than 6 million dollars, according to Transfermarkt, ended his contract with Racing on June 30, however, Argentina reports a personal problem with the 'Academia' leadership due to some statements he made against the president of the Argentine team when he left the team, which is why they still have not sent him the necessary documents and he has not been able to officially join Corinthians.

Thus, Matías Rojas is not only prevented from playing with 'Timão' in the current Brasileirão, but he will also not be able to do it against Universitario on Tuesday, July 11, for the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana playoffs.
