Racing Club confirmed, today Thursday, July 6th, that they reached an agreement with Paolo Guerrero to terminate the contract that bound them until 2023. "We thank you for your humanity, professionalism, and your constant commitment to the team", was the farewell message from the 'Academia' to the Peruvian forward.
And with the departure of the 'Depredador', the 'Academia' does not stand still and is already working on the players who could arrive at the club to fill the void left by Paolo Guerrero.
One of them is the 19-year-old striker Benjamín Domínguez, who shines with Gimnasia y Esgrima Plata. According to Argentine journalist Germán García Grova, Racing put more than 5 million dollars on the table to buy part of the jewel's pass from the 'Lobo', however, this offer was rejected.
"Gimnasia rejected Racing's offer for Benjamín Domínguez. It was US$5.2M for 80% of the 19-year-old prospect's pass", wrote the aforementioned press man on Twitter.
