Prior to the start of the Peruvian tournament, Sisy Quiroz, manager of Alianza Lima's women's section, revealed that they would not be able to debut at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium due to a time issue. Here are the exact statements from the woman in question.
"We are waiting for the tournament regulations, we still don't have them. We registered Matute, San Marcos, and Musa Stadium as options for home games. We just found out that we start at home, but due to the time constraints, it is complicated to know if we will be able to play at Matute," she stated.
That's the reason why Alianza Lima didn't play their first home games at Matute, even though the women's tournament is already in its ninth round and the intimas still haven't set foot in their 'home', so perhaps later on things will return to normal.
