The last time Edison Flores played for Atlas was on April 9th, in a match against Juárez for the Clausura Tournament of the Mexican League. Since then, the Mexican team has played seven games and 'Orejas' hasn't played any, not even the respective quarter-finals matches of the Mexican competition. In line with this, the Peruvian national team player left a mysterious message on his social media.
Last week, Edison Flores attended the Universitario de Deportes match in the 4-0 victory over Universidad César Vallejo, which is why many began to question his lack of continuity at Atlas in recent months, and the midfielder made a statement about it.
"First, I was out due to injury, then I recovered and then I was absent due to technical reasons. The club had a great moment and one had to wait for minutes," said 'Orejas', who through his official Instagram account now left an enigmatic message with a photograph wearing the national team jersey.

While there is no exact explanation for Flores' post, many may believe that he will change teams in order to have more continuity and be called up by Juan Reynoso. As a result, the midfielder revealed whether he will join Universitario or not for their centennial in 2024.

Edison Flores was asked during the week if he will join Universitario de Deportes next year, and he stated the following: "I would like to return to 'U' someday, but one thinks about the present and for now, no. The parts have to come together for something to happen, I'm happy to come to the stadium and enjoy my vacation."
