Universitario de Deportes lost by the minimum difference against Goiás in the third round of Group G of the Copa Sudamericana, on Tuesday, May 23 at Estadio da Serrinha, Brazil.
Universitario started the match well, and even scored through Martín Pérez Guedes, however, the goal was disallowed as Alex Valera was in an offside position and participated in the play.
In the second half, the "cremas" (Universitario) scored again through Matías Di Benedetto, but the goal was once again disallowed for offside by the Argentine.
As the match was coming to an end and the points were going to be shared, Luís Apodi appeared in the 89th minute to give the victory to the Brazilians and climb to the top of the group.
