A few hours before the match between Alianza Lima and Universidad César Vallejo for the Liga 1, the National Directorate of Interior Government decided not to enable the south stand of the Matute stadium for the duel between "íntimos" and "poetas".

In the report, it is stated that this measure is a response to the acts of violence recorded in the La Victoria colossus during the last match of the blanquiazules against Carlos A. Mannucci, a match that ended 3-0 in favor of the locals.

"200 hooligans were seen, the same ones who violently attacked the personnel in charge with blunt objects with the intention of forcefully entering the stadium by forcing the bars, being able to control them with two shots. Likewise, it is stated that there were two instances of violence in the SOUTH STAND, around 18:10 and 18:30", it is explained in the report.

Reduced Capacity

It should be noted that for this match, the Victoria fans requested approval to host around 30,000 people in their stadium, however, due to the closure of the south stand, the capacity has been reduced to 21,500 spectators.

It is worth mentioning that Alianza Lima had already sold all its tickets for the south stand and a statement is expected in regards to announcing the measures they will take with the affected fans. It was learned that the management filed an appeal, but due to the limited time remaining before the match, it is very difficult for them to obtain a favorable outcome.
