No more. Ecuadorian forward Walberto Caicedo is no longer part of Sport Boys, according to a statement released by the red institution on social media. Therefore, it seems that the goal scoring responsibility for the 'Misilera' will be in the hands of Fabrizio Roca, Kevin Sánchez, and Joyce Conde.
"Sport Boys club informs its fans, media and the general public that, by mutual agreement, the contractual relationship with player Walberto Caicedo has been terminated," the statement explains.
It then adds: "We thank Walberto for all his professionalism shown during his time at the club and wish him success in his professional future."
So far in the 2023 season, Caicedo has played 6 official matches with Sport Boys. However, the striker has not managed to score a single goal, which has led to extensive criticism from fans of the club.
