An unsuspecting young man was scammed with a fake phone
A young Peruvian has gone viral on TikTok after revealing that he was scammed in the worst way by a seller who offered him a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra for only 1000 soles.
As the naive young man confessed on TikTok, despite the seller's insistence, he only gave 150 soles for this supposed smartphone. However, when he arrived home, he noticed that this supposed premium phone was actually a metal 'mock-up' that was used in some retail stores to showcase a real phone.
The reactions on TikTok were not long in coming and thousands recalled the case of a young man who was nicknamed 'Celar' as he was also scammed with the 'switcheroo' modality. However, this time, users questioned this type of scams and asked him to avoid buying this type of phones in dubious places.
"Aren't you the cousin of 'Celar'?", "Celar, is that you?", "At least they scammed you with only 150 soles, it could have been more", "Be more careful next time", "You could have sold the case for 150 and recovered the investment", "Another one falls for this type of scams", were some of the messages recorded in this TikTok video that has surpassed 800 thousand views.
It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that a user falls for this type of scams, so it is recommended to be careful when buying a phone like this, since the real price is 5000 soles.
