Universitario de Deportes is at the top of the group G table, after their 2-2 draw against Goiás in the Copa Sudamericana (they won 1-0 against Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata in Argentina in their debut). And even though there are still four more rounds in this stage, in Ate, more than one person is aware that the match against Independiente de Santa Fe, led by Jorge Fossati, will be crucial; therefore, it will be necessary to excel on the field and, of course, in the stands. And the 'U' fan has been showing, every match, that they are determinative in the 90 minutes. That is why, the club has announced the ticket prices for the match on May 4th.
The match, to be held at the Monumental stadium in Ate, will have a capacity of 50 thousand spectators (almost the total capacity of the 'crema' venue), therefore, the fans have been called since Tuesday, April 25th (note that for now, only for Socios Cremas and Socios Adherentes). It is worth mentioning that starting from Thursday, the 27th, it will be open for the general public, through the Teleticket platform.
The ticket prices range from 25 soles for the Norte and Sur (Familiar) stands. In Oriente, there will be two prices, 60 soles for the Conadis zone and 75 soles for the others. The same applies to Occidente, with 92 soles for the Conadis zone and 115 soles for the rest of the seats. The Apuesta Total seats will have a value of 350 soles each.
Fossati's words
Universitario de Deportes showed strength, organization, and great fitness in the match against Sporting Cristal, for the 13th round of the Liga 1. Undoubtedly, it was a key commitment for Jorge Fossati's squad; first, because of what the opponent represented and also to stay in the fight for the Torneo Apertura: they have 25 points and are already in second place in the tournament. Undoubtedly, this present moment did nothing but fill the 'cremas' coach with pride, who did not hesitate to highlight the effort and commitment shown at the Monumental stadium.
“I am immensely happy with the team's performance, given the category of the opponent, because the team had to absorb important absences, that's why I emphasize the squad's role. [...] The only sin we committed during the match was failing to demonstrate our superiority on the partial scoreboard”, said the coach in the press conference, after the match at the Monumental.
The 'cremas' opened the scoring in the extra minutes of the first half (Martín Pérez Guedes scored), but had to wait until the 85th minute to celebrate another goal (José Rivera placed the 2-0). “Sporting Cristal has a great squad and a very capable coach. The most complicated part was that we were not able to be decisive, and that's why the match kept 1-0”, explained the Uruguayan strategist.
