Know the referee’s schedule for Matchday 1 of the Apertura Tournament

CONAR has released the list of referees appointed for the first round of the Apertura, which will start this Friday: Universitario de Deportes and Cienciano will face each other at the Monumental stadium.

This Friday will begin the first matchday of the Opening Tournament (for now Deportivo Garcilaso and Universidad César Vallejo are at the top: both with 13 points), a round that had to be rescheduled due to the internal crisis that the country went through at the beginning of the year. For these matches, CONAR already has the complete list of referees, who will be in charge of enforcing justice.

Taking into account the order of the matches for this matchday, the first one to appear on the list is Kevin Ortega, who was assigned to the clash between Universitario de Deportes and Cienciano (it is worth noting that both teams have already faced each other this season, although it was in the preliminary phase of the Copa Sudamericana).

On the other hand, Bruno Pérez will be in charge of the duel between Sporting Cristal and Cantolao, one of the most anticipated, due to the history that both clubs have in each match they have had (only in 2022 they had two draws with a final score of 2-2).

Meanwhile, for the match between Atlético Grau (which comes from a tough defeat against the rims) and Alianza Lima (which will seek to return to the path of victory), Edwin Ordóñez will be the main referee. The team that will accompany him for this match will be composed of Carlos Llerena and Deyvi Saldaña.

Changes in the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF)

A week ago, it was confirmed from the Videna that there were modifications in the position of the general secretary with the departure of Jean Marcel Robilliard. On Tuesday, through the social media of the FPF, it was announced that Héctor Lara will no longer be in charge of the competitions department of the Liga 1. The reason? He received an important offer from the Monterrey club in Mexico, where he will be in charge of the sports department.

"The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) is grateful for the commitment of Mr. Héctor Lara López, who until the end of this month will serve as director of competitions of the Professional Football League (LFP), a challenge that he assumed with great professionalism, with the aim of improving the organization and structure of Peruvian football," the statement began.

The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) added that "in this sense, we wish him the best of success in his new stage in Mexico, where he will assume the sports department of Club de Fútbol Monterrey, based on his areas of professional interest,"

On the other hand, the Peruvian Football Federation confirmed that it already has the name of Héctor Lara's successor in the position: Jesús Gonzáles Hurtado, who served as head of operations of the Liga 1. He will assume a new challenge in the local tournament starting in April.
