Wilmer Aguirre Signs with Deportivo Garcilaso

Wilmer Aguirre has a new team in Peruvian football. After winning back-to-back titles with Alianza Lima, the 39-year-old forward - who will turn 40 in May - has become a new player for Deportivo Garcilaso.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of Peruvian footballer Wilmer Aguirre. 'El Zorrito' arrives to contribute with his experience to the colors of 'Pedacito de Cielo'," says the message shared by the Cusco club on social media.
Garcilaso will be the eleventh team in the career of the experienced footballer, who previously played for Alianza Lima, Pirata FC, Ayacucho FC, Unión Comercio, Juan Aurich, Melgar, Defensor La Bocana, Cimarrones de Sonora (Mexico), San Luis (Mexico), and Metz (France).
Wilmer Aguirre arrives at a Deportivo Garcilaso team that has been surprising in the Torneo Apertura of Liga 1. The team led by Roberto Tristán is currently at the top of the standings with 12 points. They have defeated Municipal (3-0), Atlético Grau (2-0), and ADT (2-1), and in the match against Binacional they won by WO.
