Alliance Lima announced the arrival of Christian Cueva as a new reinforcement for this season, thinking of Liga 1 and, of course, the Copa Libertadores. His presence, in addition to being important for the club and the fans, will also mean raising the level of competitiveness within the squad, a fact that will be evident thanks to the loan executed by Al-Fateh.
The arrival of 'Aladino' came through a loan given by the Saudi Arabian team to the intimate club, taking into account that the former maintains a contract with the Peruvian midfielder until mid-2025. This was announced by the Arab club through a statement, detailing the agreement for 'Aladino'.
"In the midst of the club's strong position on the subject, and in compliance with the club's policies and principles regarding the fulfillment of the players' wishes and ensuring the right psychological atmosphere, Al Fateh management has agreed to loan the player to Alianza Lima until the end of the season," the document states.
Likewise, the statement released through the official channels of the Asian institution details that the negotiation with the blanquiazul team took place "after Cueva expressed his desire to do so for special circumstances". This was confirmed by the message given by the player himself to the fans.
A message of commitment
Last Tuesday, Alliance Lima fans received the news they had been waiting for in recent weeks. On the official Twitter account of the victorian team, the presentation of a video with a 'lamp', like that of the character Aladdin, generated more than one joy, as it confirmed the arrival of Christian Cueva to Peruvian football.
His arrival, in addition to filling the team and the fans with enthusiasm, also excites the midfielder himself, who dedicated a few words to it. "I am a fan of Alianza Lima since before I was born. When I left in 2015, I promised myself to return as a better professional and person, who can help the club achieve great things at the national and international level. And my ambition now is to fulfill that dream," were his first words.
Finally, he added that "I come to give my all for my beloved club, for its fans, for those who trust in me and even those who don't, but above all for my family. I am sure that with a lot of effort, commitment, work, and heart, we will continue to make Alianza Lima the greatest club in Peru. Being an Alianza fan is a different passion. Up Alianza."
