Gareca Could Return to Vélez Sarsfield
The former coach of the Peruvian National Team, Ricardo Gareca, could return to his beloved club, Vélez Sarsfield, this time as manager. The Argentine press has indicated that Gareca already has everything arranged to lead "El Fortín," which currently competes in the top division of the local league.
"Vélez is optimistic about the return of Tigre Gareca. The parties are already negotiating a contract until December 2023," said Argentine journalist César Luis Merlo.
Other written media such as Clarín and TNT Sport have also reported that "El Tigre" met last Tuesday with the manager of the Argentine institution, Christian Bassedas. They also indicated that the former coach of the Peruvian national team "wants Christian Bassedas to continue as manager, and his arrival will be made official in the coming hours."
