The Peruvian Football Federation Appeals Committee (FPF) declared Alianza Lima's appeal regarding the walkover inadmissible
The Appeals Committee of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) declared Alianza Lima's appeal regarding the walkover inadmissible, after the "Blanquiazul" team did not show up to play the scheduled match against Sporting Cristal on February 5th, 2023, for the Liga1 Betsson.
Resolution N° 006 CD-FPF 2023 confirms Alianza Lima's lack of compliance
Resolution N° 006 CD-FPF 2023, obtained by RPP, specifies that one day before the scheduled match against Sporting Cristal, Alianza Lima played a closed-door friendly match against Cienciano in Matute, without an approved security plan. Therefore, Alianza Lima's argument of lack of approval for a protection and security plan is not valid.
Alianza Lima claims violation of Law 30037
It is worth noting that Alianza Lima presented a complaint arguing, among other things, that the Disciplinary Committee did not consider Article 5 of Law 30037, which requires the presentation and approval of a protection and security plan for the organization of a sports event.
They would go to the TAS
According to Diego Gonzáles Posada, President of Alianza Lima, the regulations for scheduling the third round of the Liga 1 were not followed, so the match should not have taken place. Furthermore, he stated that if necessary, they would go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) to reschedule the match.
