A new idol is born in Alianza Lima

At least that's how it is for former Victoria player, Leao Butrón, who has just given that label to forward Wilmer Aguirre, who is now a two-time champion with the albos.

Leao Butrón, who hung up his gloves at the end of 2020, said about Wilmer Aguirre: "I consider that, without a doubt, for me as a fan, the 'Zorro' (Aguirre) is an idol," said the former goalkeeper.

Then, he explained why Aguirre should be an idol. "He has been through the good and bad times of Alianza and idols are made on the field," Butrón affirmed.
