Agustín Lozano: Prosecutor's Office investigates president of the FPF for allegedly being part of a criminal organization [PHOTOS].

The Prosecutor's Office opened a preliminary investigation against Agustín Lozano, president of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), and the members of its Board of Directors, for the alleged commission of the crimes of extortion, coercion, and criminal organization in harm of the clubs of the First Division of the League 1.

According to the document from the Public Ministry, "the alleged criminal organization in its criminal actions did not communicate the real administrative, economic, and financial situation of the Peruvian Football Federation to the members that make up its Assembly of Bases".

Likewise, the "alleged criminal organization used the Peruvian Football Federation to distribute different amounts of money to some professional soccer clubs from the first and second divisions and to departmental soccer clubs in order to pay their obligations and debts" RPP reports.

The Prosecutor's Office's official document also states that Agustín Lozano "supposedly committed the crime of fraud in the administration of a legal entity" because in 2020 he allegedly misused the economic resources of the same, having illegally approved payments.

Without being audited

"With the amount of 250,000 soles to the Carlos Stein Football Club Association, the Cultural and Sports Club Llacuabamba, Club Atlético Grau, and all the teams of the second professional division, it would not be subject to an audit and would be providing data that do not correspond to reality during the years 2019, 2020, 2021, in order to hide said availability," the document adds.
