Papelito manda. The Peruvian Football Federation through the Disciplinary Commission officialized the five 'walk overs' that occurred at the beginning of the Liga 1 and at the same time notified each institution that they have been affected by a significant fine.

This Commission resolved that the clubs Alianza Lima, Cusco FC, Melgar, Cienciano, Binacional, lost by 3-0 for not appearing at their respective matches, scheduled by the organization of the Liga1.
This entity of the FPF also announced to the five clubs that they will have to pay a “fine equivalent to the value of thirty Tax Units, in force for the year 2023 (148,500 soles)”, the document sent to the administrative offices of each club states.
FPF warns about 'second walk over'
Likewise, in the last paragraphs of this resolution, the Disciplinary Commission reminds the clubs involved in this first offense about the consequences of a second 'walk over'.
“If a club fails to comply with the schedule by not showing up to play in two dates, whether consecutive or alternate, it will automatically be relegated to the immediate lower category, lose by walk over (W.O.) its remaining matches and the corresponding points, awarding the score of three (03) to zero (0) in favor of its rivals and receives the sanction according to article 171° - FINES, depending on the different cases provided for in the preceding articles”, it added.

When do the clubs meet with FPF?
With this notification as a precedent, the clubs affected by the 'walk overs' will meet this afternoon with representatives of the Peruvian Football Federation, with the intention of finding a solution before the fourth round of the Torneo Apertura takes place this Friday, February 10.
