The Liga 1 started with five walkovers, a truly embarrassing situation in Peruvian soccer. In response to this, Prime Minister Alberto Otárola will meet with the seven clubs that have announced their refusal to participate in the championship, said sports journalist Erick Osores.

On his popular show Futbol en América, Osores revealed that his sources indicated that Prime Minister Otárola will meet with the representatives of Alianza Lima, Sport Boys, Melgar, Binacional, Municipal, Cusco FC, and Cienciano on Monday.

The journalist provided this information just hours after the decision by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) to meet with the representatives of all the clubs in Liga 1 in order to find a solution to the problem and allow all the clubs to start the championship.

Remember that the 4th round of Liga 1 has already been scheduled and if clubs like Alianza Lima, Cienciano, Melgar, and the others do not show up, they could lose their category.
