Liga 1 officializes rescheduling of matches for Matchday 3 of the Torneo Apertura 2023

After a meeting attended by Government authorities and the Peruvian Football Federation, the Liga 1 has officially announced the rescheduling of matches for Matchday 3 of the Torneo Apertura 2023.

Alianza Lima and all clubs in the Liga 1 2023 are authorized to play their respective matches according to the schedule. This means that the blanquiazul team has the green light to face Sporting Cristal.

However, Alianza Lima remains firm in its position of not starting the Liga 1 until the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) lifts the precautionary measure on television rights.

Salomón Lerner firm in his response

In response to this, Salomón Lerner, a member of the Blanquiazul Fund, stated the following in an interview with "Fútbol Como Cancha" from RPP Deportes: "Alianza Lima will not be relegated". He also emphasized that the issue of the precautionary measure involves the 8 clubs, and it is different if one of them decides to show up while others do not.
