This Wednesday, football player Víctor Cedrón announced that he will not continue to be part of Cienciano shortly before the start of the Liga 1 Betsson 2023. The player made this decision known through a statement on social media.
"It is impossible for me to continue providing my professional services with the Cienciano club from Cusco, the institution that opened the doors for me for the 2023 season and with whom we have reached a mutual agreement to dissolve the contract. I am recovering from an injury and I will be back on the sports fields within 15 days, ready to give an honorable and professional service as I have always been characterized," reads Cedrón's statement on his official Instagram account.
As you may remember, Cedrón was not presented with the rest of the team during the 'Tarde del Papá' and since then, there have been rumors that the player may not continue with the Cusco team.

Cienciano in the Liga 1 Betsson:
According to the FPF fixture, Cienciano will have to face César Vallejo in the first match of the Liga 1 Betsson at the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega stadium; however, the guarantees have not been given by the Ministry of the Interior due to the national situation, and therefore, the match is still pending.
