Recently, the northern team has decided to bet on a defender who was trained by none other than Sporting Cristal. At the time, he was close to being part of the squad that won the 2014 Descentralizado; however, he had to settle for continuing his formative path in the Reserve Tournament.

This is David Magiña, a central back who is no stranger to fighting relegation and promotion, as he has played for clubs such as Rosario FC, Sport Ancash, and Carlos A. Mannucci. Magiña has been presented through the club's social media as one of the new signings for 2023.

Magiña was in the celeste club until the beginning of 2015 and absorbed important qualities from the defense, such as the memorable Nicolás Ayr, as well as the current coach Jorge Cazulo.
