The administrator of FBC Melgar, Ricardo Bettocchi, reported that the presentation match of the Dominó will not be broadcast on television due to the precautionary measure in favor of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), which suspends GolPerú's television rights contracts with different clubs of Liga 1, including the Arequipa team.
It is worth remembering that, according to the FPF, the measure does not affect the opening matches, although the court document refers to official and friendly matches. Bettocchi stated that they prefer to avoid broadcasting to not disobey the law. On the other hand, Alianza Lima, also affected by the provision, broadcasted their event last Sunday.

The Melgar administrator defended the club's contract with GolPerú. While acknowledging that the FPF owns the television rights, he recalled that past broadcasting contracts had a preference clause for renewal in the face of a better economic proposal, which GolPerú would have made.
In the face of the impossibility of broadcasting the presentation match in the so-called Tarde Rojinegra, Bettocchi invited the fans to attend the Monumental de la UNSA this Sunday. The Dominó will face Deportivo Pasto from Colombia starting at 3:00 p.m.
On the other hand, FBC Melgar introduced their main sponsor for the 2023 campaign, the betting house Betano, last Friday. The representative of the company, Carlos Moreno, stated that they set their sights on the "rojinegros" due to their good international campaigns.
