Carlos Mannucci surprised everyone by announcing the loan of Raziel García for the entire 2023 season, as the Peruvian forward was loaned from Deportes Tolima and thus returned to national football. In this line, now the team from Trujillo has become one of the most expensive squads in the entire Liga 1.
The 'carlistas' entered the top 5 of the most valued clubs in the Peruvian tournament with the addition of Raziel. According to Transfermarkt, the Peruvian is valued at a total of 600 thousand euros, being the most expensive player on the squad, above defender Maximiliano Amondarain, who is priced at 500 thousand.
With this, now Carlos Mannucci has a value of 9.50 million euros and is only behind Universitario, Melgar, Alianza Lima, and Sporting Cristal, clubs that occupy the fourth, third, second, and first place respectively in the list of the most expensive teams in Peru in 2023.
It is worth noting that Carlos Mannucci surpasses historic and important teams in the country such as Deportivo Municipal, Sport Boys, Cienciano, Sport Huancayo, and Universidad César Vallejo. Therefore, it is expected that this season the Trujillo team can fight for the national title.
Last season, Carlos Mannucci finished close to the relegation zone with 33 points, only six points away from relegation. That is why their fans want them to at least qualify for an international tournament this year, be it the Copa Libertadores or the Copa Sudamericana. The Trujillo team has only qualified once for a tournament of this kind, in the 2021 Sudamericana.
