Domingo 08 de Enero del 2023

Hernan Barcos was the most applauded during the 'Tarde Blanquiazul' and addressed the Alianza Lima fans. He committed to fighting for the threepeat.

The 'Blanquiazul Afternoon' is being a party! After the presentation of the entire Alianza Lima team for the 2023 season, Hernán Barcos, one of the most experienced players on the team, took the floor and addressed the fans who filled the four stands of the Alejandro Villanueva stadium. The main commitment of the 'Pirate' was that they will fight for the three-time championship and make a great performance in the Copa Libertadores.

"Good afternoon to our Blanquiazul people. First, I want to thank all of you for the support throughout the year and the majority of Peruvians. I want you to trust and believe in our group, which is representing this jersey," said the Argentine forward.

Likewise, Barcos thanked all the Alianza Lima fans for their unconditional support throughout the year 2022, in which they achieved the bicampeonato. Now, for this 2023, the demand will be higher and they hope to meet the circumstances. "In good times and bad, we are all together. This group wants the three-time championship. This group wants to fight in the Libertadores," he added.

"We are not satisfied with winning one game and breaking the streak. We are going to need all of you, and surely we will meet our objectives," added the Argentine. To close, the 'Pirate' declared: "Alianza Lima is the only four-time champion in Peruvian football."

Alianza Lima vs. Junior: what's coming

After the 'Blanquiazul Afternoon', Alianza Lima will continue with their preseason training and then face Atlético Nacional for the 'Noche Verdolaga' in the presentation of the Colombian team's squad. The match is scheduled for Saturday, January 14th at 4:30 pm at the Atanasio Girardot stadium.

As it is a commitment outside of Peru, the team led by Guillermo Salas will be able to take advantage of the physical rigor of the Colombian team to assess the progress of their work in recent weeks. In this way, they can evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.

What also stands out in the 'Noche Verdolaga' is that Atlético Nacional will pay tribute to César Cueto and Guillermo La Rosa, former football players who passed through their ranks in the 1980s. Both Peruvians left pleasant memories in Colombian lands and will receive a well-deserved recognition from the public.
