Alianza Lima, the 'U', Deportivo Municipal, Sports Boys, Cienciano, Melgar, Cusco FC, and Binacional were clear in expressing their stance against the FPF measure. If this precautionary measure is not withdrawn, they will not participate in the national championship.

"This precautionary measure harms the followers of national football since our matches will not be broadcasted by any media," they state in their communication to the Federation.

The popular clubs also ask the FPF to 'make transparent' the payments made to 'a few teams' and claim to be discriminated against regarding the payment of 500 thousand American dollars.

"NO ONE CAN BROADCAST THE LIGA 1"

Days ago, the president of the Professional Football Sports Association, Óscar Romero, stated that no Liga 1 match can be televised due to the precautionary measure of the Judicial Power.

"Can the championship start? Yes. Can anyone broadcast it? No one," he stated in an interview with GOL Peru, a channel that has the broadcasting rights of Universitario.

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION MATCHES

Meanwhile, hours before the statement with the threat of the eight clubs not to play in the Liga 1, the spokesperson for the FPF, Dr. Carlos Caro Coria, ruled out that the precautionary measure filed by the Federation prevents the teams from broadcasting their 2023 presentation matches.
