New Opportunities
The name Ake Loba generated a great impact in Peruvian football. In 2018, Universidad San Martín, a team known for giving opportunities to young players, attracted attention by including a striker from Ivory Coast in their roster. To the surprise of many, at just 20 years old, the forward showed his great goal-scoring ability, and this did not go unnoticed abroad: a few months later, he was sold to Monterrey of Liga MX.
As it is known, the Monterrey team spent close to 8 million dollars to secure the football player. However, the attacker could not repeat what he had done in Peruvian lands and, after being loaned to Gallos Blancos de Querétaro, he was signed by Nashville of MLS.
After an unproductive stint in United States football (where he scored one goal), Mazatlán FC announced the signing of the African player. Through their social media channels, the team posted a curious video of Ake Loba, accompanied by the theme of the famous movie "Black Panther".
