On the last day of 2022, the family of the interpreter of 'Pituca' announced that the singer was interned at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) and asked for prayers, as the artist's health was delicate.

'Le Tongue' suffered from terminal renal failure. This disease directly damages the kidneys, which stop functioning properly and affect the urinary system. This condition was further complicated because Tongo has diabetes.
During an interview, the singer informed that he had very little time left to live while shedding tears. "Attention everyone in Peru, you know that I have given everything I could in the songs, all my voice, I have given everything for you. Now, please, I want you to help me, please. Don't abandon me! I ask you from the bottom of my heart to help me, I beg you, please, help me, don't let me die," said the renowned artist with a choked voice.
