Binacional Sports Club from Puno has renewed the contract of their top scorer, Janio Pósito, who scored 15 goals in the 2022 Liga 1 championship. He was the leading scorer of the blue team, which is aiming to be a protagonist this year and win the championship again, just like they did in 2019 after defeating Alianza Lima.
Binacional, also known as the 'Mighty of the South,' finished in 8th place in the 2022 season with 57 points. They surpassed Alianza Atlético de Sullana on goal difference, allowing them to qualify for the 2023 Copa Sudamericana.
